The Good Old Days, they're happening right now, as Andy talks about here. I 100% agree with him though. Craft beer will be more successful when it is a regional and local creature. It will also be better for our environment, though that really is only a small improvement if the import side of the industry stays strong. Drink Local! Maybe this highlights an important point about style-based brewing. Locally, you're going to really have to hope someone specializes in your favorite style, or you'll be brewing your own.
