Style: American Brown
Origin: USA
ABV: 5.5%
Serving Glass: 16 oz. Pint Glass
OMG Beer Rating: 7.1
Appearance: Red-tinted brown, with a tan head that lasted throughout the beer, implying creaminess
Aroma: Chocolate, Toffee, and hints of an earthiness imparted by the higher hopping rate mentioned on the bottle (versus English Browns)
Taste: Vanilla, butterscotch and toffee first, then a faint chocolate aftertaste mixed with the nuttiness you get from certain coffee beans
Mouthfeel/Body: A little bit watery. The tan, relatively thick and fluffy head made me think this beer would have a creamier, slightly more full-bodied feel to it.
Overall: Decent beer by a solid brewery. Brooklyn's best work seems to be saved for their limited edition series, and there's nothing wrong with that. This came off as one notch above the mass-marketed English brown ales.
