Great Lakes Glockenspiel Weizenbock

Poured into a tall pilsner glass, Great Lakes Glockenspiel Weizenbock, a strong dark german wheat from Cleveland, possesses a caramel and dark fruit aroma, with a hint of floral hops and clove and nutmeg notes, floating above a thin white head that dissipated quickly. There's also maybe a hint of the 8% abv in the very powerful nose. Beautiful amber-brown color, the body is maybe light for this particular wheat style, at least when compared to OMG Beer!'s favorite weizenbock, Schneider Aventinus. Floral hop flavor is delicious on top of the hints of banana and caramel. Sweet finish. Maybe too strong and sweet to drink more than one.
