Tomorrow, Thunder & Son Brown Ale is available in bombers and growler fills at the brewery store at noon. This is a monster of a brown ale, at approximately 12% alcohol. A little dip in the temperature and those folks over at Half Acre jumped into the big winter beers without even checking the water, or the temperature. It's like spring in Chicago still.
Next Friday, the S.S. Simon Short porter sets sail...out of their taps and into your growler. Sounds like a British-style porter, based on the hops mentioned here on the Half Acre blog.
