Atlanta Craft Beer Update

Roots are important, be they in beer traditions, traditional styles, or, in the places where we as people grew into our beer-loving adulthood. At times, I can't help but note new developments in the Southeast, especially Florida and Atlanta/Athens, GA.

Wild Heaven Craft Beers is the newest arrival to the Atlanta beer scene, and had a kick off party yesterday at Brick Store Pub. The recipes for their beers come from brewmaster Eric Johnson, of Trappeze Pub in Athens.

Their first two beers:
Invocation - a belgian-style golden ale with a deep and complex malty flavor
Ode to Mercy - an imperial brown ale with coffee and oak blended by 1000 Faces coffee of Athens

Bottles will be available by the end of the year.
Besides Brick Store Pub, also available at Thinking Man Tavern, Twain's Billiards, The Diesel Filling Station, The Porter Beer Bar and a handful of other Atlanta locations, as well as Trappeze in Athens.
