Allagash Beer

4 Allagash Beers coming out or already floating around in kegs and bottles in July, and another following in August.

Allagash Fluxus
- This is Allagash's anniversary beer and changes yearly. This year, even with a summer release, they've got a 10.3% Imperial Chocolate Stout, brewed with three roasted malts, oats for creaminess, and fifty pounds of Taza roasted cocoa nibs. Brewmaster Jason Perkins described the beer as a "thick, sticky stout with tons of roasted and chocolate flavors, aromas of tobacco and cocoa, and a surprisingly sweet, creamy finish."

Allagash Blonde - 8.2%, a Belgian Pale, with American hops, and the usual Allagash belgian yeast.

Allagash Bourbon Barrel Black - a bourbon barrel aged version of Allagash Black, a belgian-style stout

Allagash Interlude - utterly complex. Two yeast strains, the first builds a belgian pale ale base, and the second is a brettanomyces strain that adds pear, apricot, graham cracker, and bread crust flavors. A portion is aged in Merlot and Syrah casks. Bottle conditioned as well.

Allagash Hugh Malone - a complex Belgian IPA that celebrates sustainable agriculture and informed consumption.
